Volunteer

Volunteer Positions:

Security – Man barricades, patrol bike parking areas and assist in traffic and parking control. Report any illegal activity or disturbances to the Volunteer or Event coordinator, so appropriate action can be taken.

Information Ambassador – Pass out schedules, maps, and give directions to hotels, restaurants, etc. Also assist with t-shirt sales.

Runner – Pick up and deliver water or any other supplies when needed ( must have valid drivers licence ). Also check on condition of vendor areas, garbage cans and recycleable containers (change bags if necessary). Also check on condition of porta potties and report any problems with them to Volunteer or Event Coordinator.

Ride Guides – Escort groups of bikers around Cape Breton, including the Cabot Trail.

I acknowledge that my involvement as a Cape Breton Bikefest volunteer and that as such I hold harmless the Event, Center 200, Casino Nova Scotia, the Cape Breton Bikefest Society, and their respective officers, agents, directors, employees, heirs, successors, from any and all damages, loss or claims which are caused directly or indirectly by my involvement as a Bikefest volunteer.
